MAPLE GROVE, Minn - The Osseo Orioles wrapped up their spring camp Thursday with an offense versus defensive display. It was a week filled with promise for a team with big goals for the fall.
“Guys, we are about five steps ahead of any other camp we have had here,” said head coach Derrin Lakmer. “We have a legitimate chance to play in the Metrodome.”
That chance hinges on a new defense and the offense coming together. If that happens, the Orioles will be tough to beat. The season debut of the season chronicles the sites and sounds of the four day spring camp as the Orioles get ready for the Hopkins passing league beginning Tuesday evening and a four team scrimmage Wednesday night in Maple Grove.
